Les Gloriettes 2: Jérémie Boyard

Jérémie Boyard is a visual artist based in Brussels.
Invited to participate in the 2022 residency program by Komplot & Les Gloriettes, was hosted by Les Chantiers Tramassets for an artistic research residency in June/July 2022.

Since June 1, Jérémie Boyard has been developing his work at @chantiers_tramasset , an associative shipyard on the Garonne river, as part of the residency program of Les Gloriettes. Jérémie is working on a work for the meetings of wooden boats and wind instruments

His immersion in this former shipyard, which has become a living heritage site around the river, allowed him to create new sculptures: soap bubble windmills, which got exhibited and activated on the site during the summer. The result of his residency was unveiled and promoted during the Rencontres des Bateaux en Bois et Autres Instruments à Vent (R.B.B.A.I.V), a major annual event of the Chantiers Tramassets.

About the artist:
Jérémie Boyard (b. in 19800) lives and works in Brussels. He is an artist that develops a protean work, between the installation, the sculpture, and the conception of luminous and sound objects.

He studied at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts de Lyon and at the Piet Zwart Institute of Arts in Rotterdam. His work has been shown in various institutions, including the Centre National de la Photographie (Paris); Waldburger Wouters Gallery (Brussels); TENT Art Center (Rotterdam), and Modern Love Projects (Mexico City).
