Contemporary artists works are installed in the museum located in the house-cum-studio of artist, painter, sculptor and draughtsman Constantin Meunier (1831-1905). The items on display trace more specifically the evolution of the master between 1875 and 1905, this "second life" in his own words, during which his Realist talent focused more on the social and industrial aspects of Belgium. Social realism will be updated from the quote New Day New Money To Be Made taken from the pop song Black Barbie by Nicki Minaj addressing the ambient precarity. Time is money. Today’s capitalist society hardly leaves us the time to perform one mission, and we already need to look for the next one. No time to think. This exhausting rhythm of searching for work, finding new clients, making the job and getting paid; This constant reinvention of the self in every challenging moment of uncertainty, became the obsessive, repetitive patterns of our post-colonial, post-proletarian, post-work conditions. These routines in which you are kept captive, prevent the possibility to break through. Precarity is constructed to make change impossible. What about social welfare? What about psychological welfare? Reality check? Paycheck. No time to lose.

Des œuvres d'artistes contemporains sont installées dans le musée situé dans la maison-atelier de l'artiste Constantin Meunier (1831-1905) dont le réalisme social sera mis à jour à partir de la citation New Day New Money To Made tirée d’une chanson de Nicki Minaj qui aborde la précarité. Le temps, c'est de l'argent. La société capitaliste nous laisse à peine le temps de remplir une mission et nous devons déjà en rechercher une autre. Ce rythme épuisant de recherche de travail ; cette réinvention constante du moi dans tous les moments d'incertitude est devenue le modèle obsessionnel et répétitif de nos conditions post coloniales, post-prolétariennes et post-travail. Ces routines dans lesquelles vous êtes gardé en captivité empêchent toute possibilité de percer. La précarité est construite pour rendre le changement impossible. Qu'en est-il du bien-être? Paycheck. Pas de temps à perdre.

Verschillende werken van hedendaagse kunstenaars worden gepresenteerd in het Meuniermuseum, de voormalige huisstudio van de kunstenaar Constantin Meunier (1831-1905).Zijn sociaalrealisme wordt in een nieuw licht geplaatst via het citaat New Day New Money To Be Made, uit een lied van Nicki Minaj dat handelt over onzekerheid. Tijd is geld. De kapitalistische maatschappij laat ons amper tijd om één opdracht tot een goed einde te brengen, of we moeten al op zoek naar een andere: dit resulteert in het vermoeiende tempo van telkens opnieuw zoeken naar een baan, het vinden van nieuwe klanten, de job trachten waar te maken en geld te verdienen. Dit constante heruitvinden van het ego in deze momenten van onzekerheid, is het obsessieve en zich herhalende model geworden van onze postkoloniale en post-proletarische samenleving. Men wordt in gevangenschap gehouden door de routine, die de mogelijkheid om werkelijk door te breken voorkomt. Precariteit is geconstrueerd om verandering onmogelijk te maken. Maar wat met onze sociale welvaart? Reality check? Paycheck. Geen tijd te verliezen.
