The Deschooling exhibition builds on this foundation and proposes to take a diversion through art to sketch out some elements for reflection on education and school. How can artistic thinking influence thinking about school in general? An art centre such as Komplot is a good place to welcome groups whose experimental practice consists of inventing and putting into practice alternative modes of learning and transmission. Two of these groups have their origins in a school setting: Post Collective and Atelier Indigo.

#work in progress: Location visits
for the new chapter of the exhibition trilogy "The Life of S.F"

KIOSK, Louis Pasteurlaan 2, 9000 Gent, Belgium
In December Komplot will unfold the performative exhibition 'Oracles - The Life of S.F.' , taking place in KIOSK. The exhibition will be the second chapter in and the interlude of the series of projects - a trilogy titled IV - II - III: The Life of S.F. developing by curator Koi Persyn.
The first chapter "IV" - The Youth of S.F. took place earlier this year in the beautiful atrium space of SB34 Clovis as the first act of the trilogy IV - II - III. The series takes the form of a re-telling of Sophocles' writings, based on the riddle of the sphinx: "Which creature walks on four legs in the morning (IV), two in the afternoon (II) and three (III) in the evening? (answer: humankind) and the story cycle of Oedipus, which was written - and performed - in the period of an epidemic that plagued Ancient Greece.

You are very welcome to join the visits of the several art initiatives on the occasion of ANDERLECHT ARTIST WEEKEND, a two-day route dedicated to explore artist-run spaces, independent collectives, and studios in Anderlecht.
Taking the shape of a local visitor’s programme, Komplot and NICC aim to facilitate a public weekend of encounters, exchange, and dialogue while visiting some of the inspiring grassroots initiatives and collective studios in the neighbourhood, where both collectives (NICC - artistic, Komplot - curatorial), have been creating active programs of events for years.

During the summer months, we moved from local activities in Brussels, to co-create a residency program for artists and curators in collaboration with the platform Les Gloriettes, which is currently operating in the south of France.
During this residency, they are visiting the municipality of Langoiran to conduct month-long research in the context of Entre-Deux-Mers and its metropolitan surroundings. This immersion will allow them to nourish, build and prepare the conditions for a future event around the visual arts.
The program is supported and funded by the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine

During the residency at Komplot, the artist is developing her project Imprint-sculpture and turns to the local community to actively integrate them within the artwork. The artist placed a 3-ton stone in Albert Ier Square, especially for this occasion, to create a space for mutual experience, stopping, unusual contact and touch. While the artist will be doing the hard physical work throughout May, every passerby will be able to join in and touch the stone.
